Hi, I’m Zhuri! I’m a foreign language teacher and budding book blogger from Jamaica, currently living in Japan.

Welcome to Zhuri Reads! I hope you’ll love it here as I build what I hope will be a safe and welcoming community of people who love everything about books.

I’ll be reviewing mostly fiction, especially romance, mystery, thriller, and horror novels.

A few of my favourite reads are How to Say Babylon by Safiya Sinclair, Needful Things by Stephen King (one of my favourite authors of ALL TIME), When I Think Of You by Myah Ariel, Last Chance Saloon by Marian Keyes, and The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson.

I’m usually in the middle of two or three books at a time, but when I’m not reading, I love listening to music and podcasts, binge-watching Korean dramas, and scouring Pinterest for nail and hair inspo.
